Jyoti Amge, born in 1993 in Nagpur, Indian was recognized as the world’s smallest female teenager by Guinness World Records. She was born weighing only 3 pounds and no one believed that she could survive. At the age of 15, Jyoti is about the size of a 6-month-old baby. This year, Jyoti will be 17 years old, but she still looks smaller than her neighbor’s baby. With weak and breakable bones, she suffers from many serious injuries and she can’t walk normally. Although Jyoti looks so much different from other teenagers of her age, she is very optimistic and not so bothered with her unique condition.
Jyoti is smaller than the average two-year-old child
Jyoti Amge has grown unusually. The growth has limited her height to 58cm and her weight to 5.4kg. It is said that a top orthopedic surgeon can fix her legs, however her family doesn’t believe that modern medicine can help her. Jyoti has been suffered from achondroplasi. She can’t grow any taller than her current height
Despite this, Jyoti she goes to a school in Nagpur, central India. At class, she has her own tiny desk and chair. Her fellow pupils treat their tiny classmate like any other student as well. Jyoti is so optimistic, she is not scared of being small and she doesn’t regret it
